Our story (and why we do this)
Paws-itively Purr-fect grew from a lifelong love of animals—and a desire to offer local families dependable care they can feel good about.
Our founders, Debbie and Jon, both grew up surrounded by animals and have always shared a passion for caring for them. Debbie spent over 16 years as a veterinary technician before turning her love for animal care into something more personal. In 1985, she began pet sitting and boarding pets in Buckeye to help families who needed reliable, loving care. What started as a part-time service steadily grew, and by 2004, Debbie took the leap to run the business full time.
Two years later, she met Jon, who shared the same love for animals. Together, they expanded Paws-itively Purr-fect—adding professional grooming and enhancing our boarding and daycare services.
Today, we’re proud to continue that mission: providing a welcoming place where pets can settle in, feel safe, and enjoy their time with us—whether it’s for an appointment, a day, or a longer stay.
