Paws-itively Purr-fect Policies
Clear, friendly guidelines for grooming & boarding in Buckeye, AZ
What to bring before visits
At Paws-itively Purr-fect Pet Resort & Salon in Buckeye, AZ, our goal is simple: create a safe, stress-free, and enjoyable experience for every pet in our care. The best way to do that is to set clear expectations up front—so you know exactly what we need from you, and we can reliably reserve time and space for your pet.
Below you’ll find our vaccination requirements, plus our cancellation and late-arrival policies for both pet grooming and pet boarding. Thanks for taking a moment to review—your cooperation helps us protect the well-being of our furry guests, respect our team’s time, and make sure every pet receives the attention they deserve.
Vaccination requirements
To help keep every guest healthy and protected, we require up-to-date vaccinations for all pets visiting our resort and salon.
Before your pet boards or is groomed, we’ll need a copy of their vaccination record. These guidelines help us maintain a safer environment where pets can relax and enjoy their visit.
Pet boarding vaccination policy
For pet boarding, pets must have received the following vaccinations:
- DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvo)
- Rabies
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
Pet grooming vaccination policy
For pet grooming, only the rabies vaccination is required.

Fees & timing, explained
Pet grooming appointment, cancellation & late-arrival policy
We reserve dedicated time for each grooming appointment, and our schedule is carefully planned so every pet can be cared for properly. If plans change, a little notice goes a long way—and if you’re running behind, knowing our timing guidelines helps everyone stay on track.
Here’s how our grooming policies work:
- Missed appointments / last-minute cancellations: A $25 fee applies for no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- Running late: Arrivals more than 10 minutes late will incur a $10 late fee.
- Over 15 minutes late: Your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and a $25 cancellation fee will apply.
We truly appreciate your understanding. These policies help us provide the best care for every pet—and keep the day running smoothly for all the families we serve.
Regular vs holiday notice
Pet boarding cancellation policy
We completely understand that travel plans and schedules can change. Because boarding reservations hold a space that another family may be waiting for, advance notice makes a big difference.
Regular season
Please provide at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee of up to 3 nights of your booking.
Holidays
Please provide at least 5 days’ notice for cancellations. Holiday cancellations made with less notice will be charged for 3 nights of your booking.
Thank you for your understanding—boarding spots can take several days to fill, especially during busy periods.
Questions about any of the policies?
We’re always happy to help clarify what applies to your pet’s visit. If you have questions about vaccinations, grooming appointment timing, or boarding cancellations, reach out to us and we’ll walk you through it.
Thanks again for helping us maintain a healthy and welcoming environment for every pet we care for.
